Postdoctoral Research Associates in Experimental Nuclear/Particle Physics

The Department of Physics and Astronomy (http://www.physics.sunysb.edu/Physics/) at Stony Brook University seeks to hire two postdoctoral researchers in experimental nuclear/particle physics. The successful applicants will work with the groups of Professors Krishna Kumar and Abhay Desphande on the parity-violating electron scattering (PVES) program at Jefferson Laboratory (JLAB), and R&D for a future Electron Ion Collide (EIC).

PDF position at the Catholic University of America

The Physics Department of the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate in the experimental nuclear physics group. This position presents opportunity to work on two projects, currently running the GlueX Experiment in Hall D at Jefferson Lab and future Electron Ion Collider.

JLab Hall C PDF position

Jefferson Lab invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate position in the Hall C nuclear physics group. The core Hall C equipment consists of two focusing magnetic spectrometers and various high-power targets. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the 12 GeV era experiments in Hall C.

ZED-2 Reactor Safety and Instrumentation Summer School 2017

This is to inform you that we are hosting the eighth ZED-2 Reactor Physics Safety & Instrumentation School from May 29 - June 2, 2017, at Chalk River. We encourage you to pass this information along to any students or colleagues that you think would be interested in attending this event.

GWU Postdoc - JLab Hall B

The Department of Physics at the George Washington University has an opening for a Postdoctoral Scientist to participate in the JLab Hall B experimental program. The successful applicant will work with GW Professors William J. Briscoe, Igor I. Strakovsky, Latifa Elouadrhiri and other members of the Hall B collaboration. The research will be performed mainly at the Thomas Jefferson National Laboratory (JLab) in Newport News, Virginia and locally at our Virginia Science and Technology Campus (VSTC) in Ashburn, Virginia.

Postdoctoral position at Carnegie Mellon

The Carnegie Mellon Medium Energy Physics group has an opening for a Post Doctoral Researcher. The successful applicant will be based at Jefferson Lab, and spend the majority of their time working on our physics program with the GlueX Experiment ( http://www.gluex.org ) with particular emphasis on supporting the operation of the experiment. The GlueX experiment is led by Professor Curtis Meyer, and our GlueX group at CMU consists of two faculty members, one other post doc, and 2-3 graduate students.

GWU JLab Hall D Post Doc Search

The Department of Physics at the George Washington University has an opening for a Postdoctoral Scientist to participate in the JLab Hall D experimental program. The successful applicant will work with GW Professors William J. Briscoe and Igor I. Strakovsky and members of the Hall D collaborations. The research will be performed mainly in residence at the Thomas Jefferson National Laboratory (JLab) in Newport News, Virginia and occasionally at our Virginia Science and Technology Campus (VSTC) in Ashburn, Virginia.
