Tenure-track faculty position at Stony Brook University

The Department of Physics & Astronomy (http://www.physics.sunysb.edu/Physics/) at Stony Brook University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the field of experimental nuclear physics. The initial appointment will be jointly as a Fellow with the RIKEN-BNL Research Center (RBRC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), for a period of up to five years. During this period the successful candidate will spend about half of his or her time at Stony Brook University and the other half at the RBRC.

Lattice PDF Position - York University

The lattice-continuum theory group at York University (led by Randy Lewis and Kim Maltman) is looking for a candidate for a limited-term, non-renewable, one-year research assistant position to further ongoing, partially completed work in the group. The successful candidate should have a publication history confirming expertise in (1) setting up and implementing lattice calculations for exotic hadronic channels, and (2) familiarity with continuum techniques including sum rules, dispersion relations, and Chiral Perturbation Theory.

PDF Position - Theoretical Nuclear Physics - The Ohio State University

The Ohio State University Nuclear Theory Group anticipates an opening
for a postdoctoral researcher beginning in the Fall of 2018. Current
research efforts by Profs. Furnstahl, Heinz, Jeschonnek, Kovchegov,
and Perry include work on relativistic heavy-ion collisions and
quark-gluon plasma, hydrodynamic simulations, high energy QCD and
gluon saturation, deep inelastic scattering (DIS) and the electron-ion
collider (EIC), proton spin and TMD evolution, applications of AdS/CFT
methods to strong interactions, effective field theory,

Post-doctoral position in machine learning and hadronic physics at CEA Saclay

CEA Saclay (France) seeks to hire a post-doctoral fellow, who will join both the Nuclear Physics
Division at Irfu and the Artificial Intelligence division at LIST for a one-year position, renewable
another year. He will be expected to develop crystal-box machine learning algorithms in order to
analyze the data collected this fall and in the spring 2018 with the CLAS12 spectrometer at
Jefferson Laboratory (USA).

PDF position - Florida State University

The Hadronic Nuclear Physics Group at Florida State University invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to work on the GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab. The group has a long involvement with GlueX, and has a wide range of interests in hadronic physics, with a particular interest in the search for hybrid and other unconventional mesons, as well as interests in advanced scientific computing.

22nd International Few-Body Conference FB22 - 9-13 July 2018, Caen, France

We are pleased to announce that the next International Conference on Few-Body Problems in Physics (FB22) will
be held in Caen, France from 9 to 13 July next year. This will be the 22nd edition of this conference series which
began in 1959 in London and was most recently held in Chicago in 2015 and Fukuoka in 2012.

Assistant Professor in Subatomic Physics at the University of Manitoba

The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, commencing July 1, 2018, or on a date mutually agreed upon. Outstanding candidates in any area of Experimental Nuclear and Particle Physics will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who will complement the Department’s strengths in medium and high energy fundamental symmetry tests of the Standard Model and searches for new physics, and contribute to on-going collaborations with Jefferson Lab. The Department seeks a scholar with a Ph.D.

Post-doc position in theoretical hadron physics at INFN CAGLIARI

We would like to inform you that, as member of a national research project in hadron physics (NINPHA) funded by the INFN National Committee for Theoretical Physics, our THEORY GROUP at INFN CAGLIARI will open soon a two year post-doc position for theoretical research in the field of hadron and spin physics. Salary and benefits will be competitive at the European level.
