Two Assistant Professor positions in Basic Sciences at Chalmers

We would like to draw your attention to the announcement of two positions as Assistant Professor within Basic Research areas (Astronomy, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, Physics, or Pure Mathematics) at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. The positions will be awarded in open competition among applicants aiming at any of the eligible research areas.

In particular, applicants envisaging research activities in line with, or related to, the research in experimental and theoretical Subatomic
Physics* pursued within the Department of Fundamental Physics at Chalmers are clearly eligible for this call.

The positions are of four year duration and open to applicants with up to five years of post-doctoral experience. They come with funding to finance one PhD student and some operational costs. After four years, an assistant professor who has been appointed in open competition may, under certain circumstances, be considered for appointment to a permanent position as associate professor.

Further information can be found on positions (direct link) and some generic information here (direct link). Please note that this information covers in total ten positions at Chalmers and thus is not very specific concerning the two positions within Basics Science.
